Introduction
At Tip Toes Preschool Vinohrady we offer children an inspiring and safe environment where they can fully develop their potential.
Our programme is based on the Czech Framework Educational Programme and the British Early Years Foundation Stage. We are inspired by the Reggio Emilia approach, which encourages children to discover and learn through their own experience.
Thanks to bilingual teaching led by qualified Czech teachers and native speakers, children naturally acquire both Czech and English. We give every child individual care, supporting their interests, creativity and collaboration with others.
Our goal is to develop creativity, critical thinking and problem-solving – skills essential for a happy and successful life.
We love spending time outdoors in our playground or the surrounding area. We also have a small indoor gym that doubles as a theatre hall. Every week we go on trips, we organise sleepovers at the Preschool, and in spring we go on a Preschool in Nature.

In our bilingual Preschool, children aged 2 to 6 can immerse themselves in the world of English. Our qualified teachers and native speakers create a fun and stimulating environment in which children acquire English naturally. Through our programme we develop not only language skills but also creativity, social competences and a love of learning.
Innovative
We use modern pedagogical approaches and methods. One example is teaching through CLIL (Content and Language Integrated Learning), which combines subject teaching with intensive instruction in a foreign language (in our case, English).
Individualised
Our “Step in the Right Direction” programme is based on differentiated instruction that takes into account each pupil’s talents, gifts and interests. Thanks to this, pupils can reach their full potential.
Interactive
We place emphasis on pupils’ active involvement in learning. Through a variety of activities, projects and discussions, we encourage the development of critical thinking, communication skills and cooperation.

Our day at Tip Toes Preschool Vinohrady
We devote mornings to developing key skills.
We support children through play in developing speech, reading, numeracy and social skills. Children have plenty of space for independent discovery and experimentation.
Afternoons are dedicated to developing talents and interests.
We offer a wide range of activities such as sports games, creative workshops, and music and movement clubs. We regularly refresh the offer based on children’s interests.

Afternoon Activities
The afternoon program is included in the tuition fee and is filled with a variety of activities, such as: art studio, cooking club, yoga, sports games in the gym, music club, experiments, and many other colorful activities that we continuously change, mainly according to the children’s interests.
Balanced development in Czech and English
Learning activities take place mainly in English. Our teaching aids, learning materials and books are largely sourced from the United Kingdom. We also run a comprehensive Czech programme.
In the mornings, younger children learn in Czech. For preschoolers we offer a special club, TT Preschoolers, focused on preparing for a successful start in Year 1.
Children whose first language is English are supported in developing their Czech so that they can start at a Czech primary school without difficulty.
Meals and Nutrition
We place great emphasis on healthy, balanced food. To ensure your children get everything they need for their growth and development, we work with Česká jídelna – zařízení školního stravování, s.r.o., which prepares tasty and nutritious lunches.

What do people ask us most often?
How does English teaching work?
Our school employs qualified teachers and native speakers. Children learn English naturally throughout the day using games and the latest technologies.
Will my child be prepared for Year 1 at a Czech primary school?
Yes. Our Czech programme prepares children for Year 1 in all required areas.
How is catering provided?
We place great emphasis on varied and balanced nutrition. We prepare snacks ourselves. Lunches are provided by Bionea. In case of food intolerances or allergies, we will be happy to discuss options for your child.
What activities do you offer during the school year?
We organise frequent themed trips and talks, and visit theatres and concerts. We also arrange sleepovers at the preschool and go on a spring school-in-nature trip. Throughout the year we host many parent events, such as picnics, a Halloween trick-or-treat charity event, a Christmas market, an International Day showcasing all represented nationalities, a Summer Show, a leavers’ celebration and many other community activities.
What does a typical afternoon look like at your preschool?
Every afternoon we run clubs that change throughout the year. Children can enjoy, for example, Krav Maga, cooking, a science club, a travel club, ball games, dance or music club, and much more.
Do you offer a summer programme?
Yes, we run four weeks of summer programme. Opening hours in summer are 8:00–16:00. The programme is organised into weekly themed blocks. Each block includes learning in both Czech and English, a trip, and plenty of fun activities on the given theme.
